Looks pretty certain, Sullo.

WE have to stock it though which is fair enough.

They apparently added another 30 or so dams etc to the SIP system in Qld and then increased the fees. Revenue grab.

Any increase in stocking above the barrage is warmly welcomed. This will serve the rest of the river and surrounds extremely well as we all know the barrage fish ladder is a joke and does nothing but feed birds. The stocked Barramundi that will come down with the floods will add biomass & genetic diversity to the esturine environment which is one of the things that the barrage killed when it was constructed. It will also add a large number of male fish into the system that will add to the breeding numbers. I'm really pleased to hear this. Step in the right direction.

Not every impoundment needs a permit, Edo.

Only those under Govt control. Awoonga doesn't nor a couple of others.

And 63 that need a SIPS.

They're the 63 on the DAF link.

50 from Biloela (Callide Dam) south and 13 from Emerald north.

2 I know that don't need SIPs are Awoonga near Gladstone and one in behind Cairns. Copperlode Dam is it?

Fitzroy above the Rocky barrage doesn't need a permit but is subject to 3 month closure. THAT'S what we're getting lifted.

Might be a couple of others.

Thanks for the info boys, just had a look at my local which requires a sips permit @ 50 bucks a year.
Money well spent if their is transparency in the Bass stocking program they say the money goes toward.
I will also need to find out the boundaries of this "weir" area and see if the areas i am going to fish will be inside this locationgiven that when i fished the area last sunday i was quite a few k's upstream.I will also be heading up to Awonga from time to time to get my Barra fix.
