G'day All,

Is there any advantage in putting in at Nightcliff Boat Ramp over Buff Creek when heading offshore? I know Buff Creek's low is 2-2.5 hours after Darwin low tide. Does this equate to getting in to the ramp at Nightcliff before Buff Creek?

for me, buff wins everytime because of the secure parking. tides are a bugger at both

Museum ramp is best IMO. Can in and out at 2.8 and above. And is not that busy.

Thanks guys,
Secure parking isn't an issue for me as I live 300m from the Nightcliff ramp. Need to know if I can get the boat out at Nightcliff before Buff Creek.

Depending on the tide mate you'll probably best look at Nightcliff, Buff creek is good but does take some time before there is enough water to get back in.

both are best used on the upper end of the tide.

time your luanch and retrive around the highs and you will be laughing.

depending on how wet and sandy you dont mind your car getting you can definitely get back in at nightcliff earlier than buff.
