Minister's reasoning remains a mystery

Post by Matt Flynn »

Okehampton Bay Court Proceedings Put Off

Federal Court proceedings by three groups opposed to Tassal’s fish farm at Okehampton Bay on Tasmania’s east coast have been put off, Bob Brown Foundation said today.

“Federal Environment Minister Josh Frydenberg had failed to publish his reasons for agreeing to Tassal’s Okehampton Bay operation proceeding”, Bob Brown said.

“He had twenty eight day to publish those reasons and when he didn’t, my Foundation, along with tourism operators Triabunna Investments and Spring Bay Mill, took action to have him make good that requirement.

“With a preliminary hearing due in the Federal Court in Hobart tomorrow, the Minister has now committed to publishing his reasons by Friday this week.

“We are glad to get this outcome and will wait to see those reasons before considereing what further action we may take”, Brown said.

Meanwhile, the preliminary hearing due at 10.15am tomorrow has been adjourned to another date yet to be set.

He is a bl..dy terrible Minister. Useless as a fart in a blizzard.
Smile and the world smiles with you, fart and your all alone.

I have also thought it was strange to feed fish to fish so we could eat the final result.
Tassal have reduced the amount of food it takes to grow them out for sale.
It used to be massive amounts of food/waste (7:1) dropping to the seafloor but its not so bad these days. Still not right but much better.
They have also reduced the amount of antibiotics used these days
I also read that they are now using natural products to get the orange coloured flesh. Then again, cyanide is natural

The astaxanthin colouring is actually sold as an anti-oxidant health supplement. Whether it works or is just a quack thing, who knows. Might make a person orange like Trump.
