BOM is sure sending out mixed messages about the monsoon trough.

Here's their latest (attached).

http://www.bom.gov.au/australia/charts/4day_col.shtml

The dot - dash - dot line across the top is a monsoon trough according to them.

Bit of left hand right hand stuff I think.

Well, I'll be a bit more carefull this time, last time when Crimson Finches "told me'' that mosoon was still 2-3 weeks away it came near instantly. Australia Day to be exact, and the near 800 mm it gave over 6 days, was the curse that I had to deal with for a year with repairs to rooms, bar and kitchen, just near the end of pontoon repairs and upgrade.......... SO, this year is going to be a very poor wet, so far i have seen 2 finches, no nest building yet and stuff all rain apart from 100+ mm last Wednesday night. That day water temp sat around 32-33, now 27.7 so fishing has gone to nix.

Remember... It is better to sit in the bar thinking about fishing, than to be fishing and think about the bar where it is nice ans cool,
than in a boat where it has been/is stinking hot.

See you sometime, and enjoy the 'WET SEASON'. Kai.
