Here are all score details to Day 4, I'll add Day 5 when they are available. If a competitor on here has the final scoresheet they could email it to me, it hasn't been posted on Facebook.

There were 1200+ fish caught at the Classic which is historically very good, same with Nats at 1100+.

Some said fishing was hard at Nats but I think this is because the top teams catch most of the fish!

Looking at previous years, the best year for the Nats was 2011 with 2169 fish, and the best for the Classic was also 2011 with 1558. That was a mega wet season year.

Worst comp in recent years was 2013 Classic with 207 fish.

In recent years 2017 and 2018 were good, but 2016 was poor.

This years numbers were similar to those in 2012, off the back of a big 2011.

Whilst i’ve tried to forget I remember 2013 very well...... :banghead: like trying to eat a bag of hair!

Well done ‘Cannon Man’ (Blinky) nice honour.

Plus a new water speed record of 106 Kilometers and hour! set by Classic Legends.
Don't zig when you should zag when this boat is about.

How do you work that out? Pretty sure only three anglers failed to put in a point scorer over the five days........

Thanks Blinky

Using Blinky's figure for Day 5 (I haven't seen official Day 5) that would be a total for the five days of 1296 barramundi between 57 teams of 3 = 171 anglers.

That is an average of 7.5 fish per entrant for the week, a bit more than a fish a day over the five days.

The top placers caught most of the fish, for example the winner Shane Compain caught 34, so many people caught less than the average.

Looking at the board there are plenty who caught zero, one or two fish over the week.

Hard fishing? Most would say yes, but in terms of Daly comp history it is one of the better results.

Think it’s closer to 2k per head (just under 6k per team) , plus booze. In saying that, I wouldn’t mind giving it a crack one year, just for the experience.

Sorry if its not a correct result. Blinky.

7.5 fish avg. for a week as one of the better comps, sounds great...... not.
Bugger that for a joke.
Count me out fellas,
Wont be competing anytime soon,
I can think of a few much better spots and ways to spend a week out and grand or more on fuel, food and other comforts.
Mate you are that good, someone would sponsor your entry fee to go in their team.

Team entry this year was $5,310.00. Add your grog, campervan, any additional tackle, boat maintenance etc etc it ain't a cheap venture.......

I have fished 22 Classics, it is by far and away the highlight of the fishing year. Obviously catching fish is a huge part, it's not the bee all and end all, getting together with great mates, getting away from the lounge room, getting on the river for the week is also a big part of the enjoyment.

I for one wouldn't miss it for quids........
