2018 NT Fishing Comps

Post by Corry »

Is there somewhere where I can find out when all the comps are on in 2018.

We're in the NT for a couple of months, and over Easter, which is when I think a lot of them are on. We'd like to (unfortunately) stay away from the areas that the comps are on while we are there, but not being a local, I don't know what all the Comps are that are on.

Any ideas....

Cheers

Classic, Nationals and Klash are the 3 big comps (plus Seadohs of course...), they'll each have pages. Klash usually earlier than the rest. The others will be after Easter, I think.

DGFC Billfish Bash April 14-15th Dundee Lodge

Allgood's Carton Comp (Billfish) April 28-29th Dundee Lodge

Any weekend where there is good weather and suitable tides will see the Dundee ramp busy anyway, the comps give you a good chance to mingle with other fisho's over a few beers which is a bonus and could increase your catch, what is painful for us like mackerel and tuna stealing our baits means you get that info and have great fun hooking some great fish and hey, you might even get a Sailfish!

Thanks all, that's the exact info I was chasing... and while checking these out found this site that lists a lot of comps: https://www.enjoy-darwin.com/darwin-fis ... tions.html

And you're right Simmo, Comps are a good thing to do to learn new things and meet new people, we've done a few comps in the past.

Seano, I'm guessing TEBS is one of those unspoken things huh :)
