The boys are cleaning up on barra heaps being caught, bib spread of points with some teams hitting the 5500 mark yesterday so i'm told.
The team that one last year (top end tackle) are up the front of the pack.

spoke to lincoln last night whos down there, said 5 meteries yesterday, 3 the day before..
apparently 450 fish caught yest alone!
1st is sitting on 6800 points.

Anybody got any news on Team Engel?

First time I went to the Nats (and first time on the Daly River that we heard so much about) I scooped a 87cm barra in the landing net that was just finning around following the tidal run. Didn't he get a surprise and so did we.

Thoughts were that these things were in such numbers that u don't need a rod. Just scoop 'em up with a bl..dy landing net!!

Just heard......Compain won it with in excess of 8,000 points
That score smashes all previous scores, apparently he accrued over 4 grand on his own.
Approx 2,000 fish caught and released.
