RIP James Foley

Post by Matt Flynn »

RIP the reporter James Foley who was killed by terrorists. Horrific that a journalist should die like that for reporting the news.

Thoughts also to Peter Greste, Aussie journo jailed in Egypt on bizarre charges and evidence.

I was watching a show the other day that discussed the reasons why European countries advanced so much compared to Muslim countries – all came down to religious controls in Muslim countries where they discouraged learning, study and experimentation.
I had never thought of it before but there is a major difference between the two.

The vast majority of people think only about the issues that affect them directly and that's ok because if we all spent time thinking about the real problems of the world, then poop, we might actually do something about it and demand a solution.

we worry about the wind or where to go fishing while the Gaza people worry when the next missile will come from.

Yes, watched it last week. If you're lucky enough to enjoy the bounty of Australia then you better bl..dy well appreciate it. It's an absolute outrage that the do-gooders, PC 'champions' and some minorities have been allowed to run riot in this country - lunatics running the asylum alright!!!

I'd be very happy to concede some ground on the budget deficit to provide every new arrival (and those that have arrived in say the last 10 years) a flag pole and the Australian Flag.

We cant go back, only forward - don't lose hope Nomad, there's plenty worth 'fighting' for and plenty to do the 'fighting'.

That's right so we must break the chain and cut off the oxygen that potential 'new recruits' could provide. The current ones containing so much hatred, misguided intentions and disrespect for Oz are a lost cause - let them go overseas, bon voyage; but its a one way ticket! Appropriate consequences for ones actions.

Upon reflection, revoke that budget deficit comment - they MUST purchase the pole and flag. It's up to people to prove they deserve to be here not for us to make excuses for them.
