Just wondering would a standard 2013 quintrex topender ally trailer manage the trip to coburg or am I kidding myself?

If the road is like it was when I was there years ago you would probably turn the trailer into a kit. I lost both mudguards and the boat retainer chain came undone and the winch cable snapped and the boat rolled off the back. Luckily it was only a 3.9m dinghy. Transducer was internal but the vibration popped it out of its bedding, from memory I got signal by putting it back in a pool of sunscreen.
It was my first experience towing on a long rough road.

I have gone up every year for the last 6 with a standard Dunbier trailer. Go slow, and dont load the boat up with stuff and you will be fine. I usually rattle the numberplate off so I remove it once i get past oenpelli.

Give yourself a full day to travel from Cahills, sometimes the road is good and you arrive early, sometimes it's bad and you arrive late. If you don't allow too much time you'll end up pushing a bit quicker and thats when you break things.

Having said that I also take a generator and a welder up with me, just in case.
