King Ash Bay

We are going to fish King Ash Bay for 1-2 weeks during this year's buildup. We will mostly be targeting barra and probably head out for a bit of bottom bashing. Can anyone suggest a good set of tides during October/November to work around?

Teasba,

If it were I going and chasing Barra I would personally look for the bigger early am tides like these ones especially around the estuaries where the water can get up to 35 degrees in the shallows at that time of the year so the earlier the better. Its a personal thing really and some like less movement but a 2m shift isn't really much.

If you fish later in the day fish deeper.

Yeah awesome crabman got well over 50 barra between to boats though nothing huge all between 50 and 85 cm.

really only fished the mouth area of the main branch with a few little exploration trips.

Will do again next year :)
