Ran into the Water Police Sunday lunch at East Arm boat ramp as we were leaving, they reckon they had just spoken to over 20 boats anchored in the shipping channel in front of the LNG boat departing
The whole anchoring in the shipping channel thing seems to be taking a little while to get the hang of for some.

Re: Harbour Channel
I was watching em from home and listening to the 5 short horn blasts (signal your intention) from one gas boat and the coppers were racing ahead and pulling up next to a few across from Mandorah telling them to move on. It's probably going to cost us all sooner than later.
There are now up to 5 x 300m gas boats at a time here either sitting out at anchor or being loaded and as one goes out another one gets escorted in.
It's going to be busy for years now.

Re: Harbour Channel
I was wondering, do fish hang around these tankers? they are giant fad's. If the govt created reef near channel it might attract fish so you don't have to fish channel.
Lets face it these spots near the 6 mile bouy are productive.

Re: Harbour Channel
It has probably taken 70 percent of the ffishing spots out of play. Both arms are now designated shipping channels
