Fishing locked drag

I have a frustrating problem fellow forum members. I have one friend who always insists on fishing fully locked drag for some reason. Now, around the wharves, jetties and rocky areas I tend to fish fairly tight drag. However, fishing locked drag everywhere is quite ridiculous. He doesn't listen to my reasoning that he can pull hooks, his knots are shite  etc. Worse still, when he sees fish peeling line off my reel he scolds me and tells me to tighten up my drag :banghead: .Can you guys help me get to his thick skull that fishing locked drag everywhere is not a good idea by providing me with reasons? Thanks
Disclaimer: this post is not to be taken seriously. I'm not bagging him or anything, it's just banter between mates

Nope, it's a stiff graphite seven foot rod with 30lb braid on a stradic 4000. :bonk:
