Hello guys
I'm new in boat fishing.
I have been fishing for the last few weekend out at lee point, bottle washer and angler reef.
We had some nice fish school mackerel, coral trout, cod, trevally, queenfish.
With my mate we are looking to try to go fishing within the Darwin harbour but we don't know where to go. We would like to target some reef fish, jew fish, snapper and any other good fish to eat.
I'm not asking for any secret spots but just for the main spot to go.
Any help would be appreciate.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers

Get the Fish Finder book and the GPS card , start fishing , and nothing wrong with the spots your trying .
The marks for harbour wrecks are a good place to start .

Re: Darwin harbour fishing spot
There is some reef just off Larrakeyah in deep water, fishable at the turn of the tide. I have caught great fish there, including big jewfish, tricky snapper, tuskies and coral trout.
Also the Six Mile reefs, which are in the FISH FINDER book, I mapped them a few years ago.
If you fish reefs in the shipping channel be aware that you must not anchor and must move well before ships approach.

Re: Darwin harbour fishing spot
thanks Mat and Jef for helping me out. I got the book from outdoor fishing yesterday.
And I was wondering about the GPS card for NT, how does it work? HOOK2-4x with Bullet Transducer and GPS Plotter CE LOWRANCE, that's what i am using at the moment but i dont have any sd card slot in it.
I download navionics on my phone too and it seems to work really well but once again i am a newbie with all that stuff.
cheers

I'm not sure about the Hook2 , but if you go and see Michael Eddy at In & Outboard marine he will know and might even down load it for you
