Cruising past the vic and chasing a spot to flick

Post by Tinny Basher »

We are cruising past the vic on our way from Katherine to kunnunarra in a week and were looking for some land based spots to have a flick. Anyone have any suggestions? Will be staying 2 nights in town and aren't bringing the boat this run. also does anyone know if mud crabs down to timber creek?

Mud crabs get higher up the river as Dry progresses. There is a couple of spots you'll see from the road where you can have a cast, including Big Horse Creek boat ramp which has a creek next to it. Also just up from the roadhouse near the bridge is a freshwater section accessible by track.

Policemans Point just below Timber Creek.
Be there at the bottom of the low and wait for the incoming push.
Flick gold bombers over the rock bar but keep an eye out for crocs.
What angler can cross over a bridge without peering over its side
