In case you're wondering what's happening out at Shady here's a picky from today. Driving along the Arnhem it's clear there hasn't been much rain out that way. Only about 3 inches of water flowing over the barrage.

I don't fish from the barrage often but one interesting observation the other day was the amount of bait fish moving not only from the fresh into the salt but from the salt into the fresh. Maybe this is normal and happens every year, I just haven't seen such large numbers of mullet battling their way up over the barrage into the fresh water. Perhaps I should spend less time in the boat and more time fishing from the land. Probably missing all sorts of interesting things!

Yeah i noticed that a few months back as well, huge schools of mullet on the barrage itself as well as trying to get to the fresh
