Did you go on thru? How deep was the ramp?? I've often thought about stopping there on the way back from Dundee just to back the trailer in for a dip before going home...

Re: Finniss R Freshwater ramp Hardcastle rd
Didn't bother having a cast but it did look pretty good down where it comes out at the right of the ramp . Ramp was fine to launch at.
Gave the car a good rinse though after running the beach out past stingray head we got off the beach at 5:30 making it across the creek just while we were racing a massive storm. Ended getting a few up to 83 at the mouth. Making the effort worthwhile. The road / goat track out there was pretty washed out and chewed up as well as the puddles being too muddy and flooded in a few of the shortcuts back to the lodge....
Didn't get bogged and we caught a few barra
Good times.
Mud tyres are the go in this section heading to the mouth of the river at the moment there's a few good spots to come unstuck big time ......
A fair bit of good luck didn't go astray either.

Updating this thread :
The creek just before the Hardcastle rd freshwater ramp is currently running at 1.2m on the guage. Bit too high to do any good for a while yet. Thought it would have been dropping.
....wrong
