Run Off Prep

With the run off starting ive spent the last few weekends getting the boat and trailer ready for the many upcoming trips,
With new springs and brakes on the trailer and a general check over of bearings, tyres rollers etc. Sat phone in the boat charged, first aid kit ready, radios working, epirb tested fridges running and wiring checked of all accessories on the boat.
I thought about putting a kit together with a few tools and spares incase something happens, i ened up with a small tub with
a spare hub, bearings, springs and old u bolts as parts. Being a builder i had a few tools spare around the house. So a kit
with a drill, grinder, die grinder and rattle gun in a bag with random hand tools and bits inc wire and duct tape should do the trick!
So with this done and ready bring on the BAZZ!!
Cheers.

Ya can never have too many spares. I started with bearings, did a hub. So carried a spare hub as well, snapped axle u bolts.

Got them now. Started with one spare tyre, blew two. Ok two spares, blew three! Then got fined by the cops for erratic driving because I was driving with only three wheels on the trailer, dodging potholes on the Roper hwy and didn't notice him behind me wanting to pass.
Murphy will always find you!

What run off? The Daly is dropping a metre a day by Saturday week you'll be able to drive at the old crossing. Pump the tyres up you better get out there now.

...yes the run off is clearly over. Only just a
small plume of freshwater spewing into Anson bay as of late yesterday....

Genset and grinder saved me up the Cape, bent bottom thread of a U-bolt on a busted spring would have been a big problem otherwise.
I've never used a battery-powered grinder but if they are available I reckon would be a good thing to have stashed.

Well you have put the wind up me & I have been out trying to figure out what bearings my axel takes etc etc.
At 45mm round I'm taking a punt it is a ford bearing kit I need, but out on the road are there any special tools I need, or just a block of wood & hammer?
