Launch at saltwater arm. Need min 2.5 to get over rocks. Follow the wiltshires up until you find clean water. Classics trolled super slow.

Hally hit up google map and follow Gunn Point Road. You will see you have to turn right off of it and then right again to get to Salt Water Arm. Watch the road in as it can have some hard washouts on it which can prematurely launch your boat for you. Salt Water Arm boat ramp can be a pain to get a boat back on the trailer for. An eddy forms at the base of the boat ramp which catches a lot of people out when they retrieve their boat. If you drive your boat on you need a bit of experience. If not hold the boat on the ramp and back the trailer onto the boat. Hook the winch rope up the to back and hold the boat up against the trailer. Back the trailer into the water slowly and have your deckie winch the boat on. If you have a stern rope hold the back end of the boat in place.
Good luck
Dex

Halley10, I mainly launch at saltwater arm boat ramp, just take it easy on the Gunn Point Access Road as at times it can get quite corrugated and / or ripped up during the wet with heavy rains and traffic damage. Plenty of spots to hit out that way. My advice to a first timer would be to get your hands on a copy of Fish Finder magazine as it has numerous hotspot points to have a bash at. I've personally done well at the narrows with barra, brim, snapper and Jew fish. I can't comment on the whilshires as I've never really given them a go. Chad's creek is another goer for crabs and barra... Just make sure you hit chads on a neapish tide as the entrance can be quite shallow.
I'm hitting Shoal Bay for some barra action... Whether pending... Good luck and tight lines!
