So it has come to this....after much love installed into the mighty Punt, the time has come for to finally purchase a one of a kind beast...crafted not by the Dwarves of Moria, but by the craftsmen of AKS welding..
4.9m long, out of 4mm plate, she has undergone some alterations since her birth in 2006. Beggining as a simple v-nose punt, and having pods morphed onto her sides, she skates on the water like no other.
The 90hp Yamaha 2-stroke bangs harder than a hungry hooker, and I managed to get her up to 70km/h the other day, on not-quite-flat a sea.
The 160L Tropical esky gives her some decent guts for big fish, and I've lost count of the times its been full before. One of my fave parts about her is the BarCrusher seats, sooooo comfy.
I've been lucky enough to get a hds9 elite off me ol mate, Flicken, and have yet to try the structure scan. But very soon...
I always said to my mate before: jimmy, if you ever upgrade, you gotta sell me this rig....
Next up will be a minnkota for the front..
So now Jimmy has his Stabi-craft Frontier, and I've got the Shabby.
Watch this space..
