Introducing the new custom heat treated gold bomber!!!
Has anyone ever had this happen randomly, wasn't sitting in the direct soun just sitting in a tray of lures like every other trip??

I've seen plenty of Classics do the same thing stored in those clear Plano trays.

yep bombers hate the heat

Switch over to plano hydro flow lure trays, they have hopes all over them and stops thus problem

I've had only bombers do it. A mate had about 20 band new bombers In there packets still do it from them sitting in his consol

At the Roper I have had trays of lures do it from X-Raps, Reidy's, bombers and classics. I lost about $600. 00 worth of them. As Seano said use the air flow trays and keep them out of direct sun. The sealed trays magnify the heat. Funnily enough one of the expanded and warped X -raps caught a few fish.

I have had bombers and classics do this. I have a 65mm Elton john classic that the heat got to and bent it a bit more in the middle - works well on corroboree barra early in the year. I always go for my "bent" classic before my newer ones. Seems to wobble a bit harder at slow speeds.

Had a few of the small Strada lures do that from the heat

Yes stradas are bad for it too.

fuel up the boat, put full covers on, Had dozens of lures split/ deform. always thought it was the fuel vapours that caused it
