Report from an undisclosed Top End location

G'day people,
I took young Jasper out fishing during the school holidays last week, at an undisclosed Top End location.
The river was still a liittle high for my liking, and whilst there were a few runoff creeks with colour, the flow was only minor and struggling to get out. The tarpon were active, which fired up Jasper straight away and he had a couple good ones in the boat in no time.

The barra were a bit slower, and it was hard to entice a hit between all the tarpon taps. I eventually nailed a few, as did Jasper but it was pretty hard work.

A single tiny sooty was a welcome addition to the day's entertainment.

All in all a good day on the water with the boy, but it would have been nice to have been troubled by some larger barra.
