Finniss Sweetwater - saturday

Post by NathanL »

Took a mate and his barra virgin missues to the Finniss fresh for a bit of a poke around on saturday.
Fishing was a bit slow but ended the day with a couple of 60's/just legals and some smaller rats.
The sooties were in plague proportions and Hungry.. really hungry.

After about 11am it got pretty hot and the barra shutdown a bit, they were still there and you could sight-cast to them on the snags but they were totally disinterested in anything we threw at them.
Water temp was up to 32deg. :o in some of the shallower sections. Not sure it was because of that they were slow or if it was the recent rain/river rise that went on last week.

Only saw one other boat on the water all day which was nice.
