Hi all,
Now that I've caught a legal baz I got cocky so me and the missus headed to the Finniss for the first time
Got there at a lazy 8 o'clock and proceeded to troll for a bit downstream.
2 other boats on the water and both doin no good?
Got plenty of snags so headed down to the 4 ways?
Tried to troll those arms but yeh na
Missus commented that all i could get was snags and I was greedy with 2 lines to her one
Anyways headed back upstream and before too long SHE is on
Only a nice little sooty but better than me eh
Went up past the boat ramp and the water looked very still , not much action at all.
Turned around after losing another lure to a snag , me that is and took a burn back down to the 4 ways for one last run.
Sure enough at the same spot after saying we should prolly head home as it was farkin hot, the missus is on again!!!
Another nice sooty this one a bit bigger
Off sooty goes and she is stirring me no end about my fishing prowess
Oh well methinks, I'll just have one more run and with that I let out my line way out and dropped another very short at the back.
Yep she yells I'm on and a nice little 57cm model comes in on the short line??
Twas the same lure as my Manton Baz , a Barra Bait in green and orange...whaddya know
By this time it was about 2 o'clock so satisfied we headed to the ramp.
Missus says that my barra well out shone her 2 sooty's isn't she nice
I know we should be there at dawn/dusk but still a nice day on the water and a Beautiful spot indeed!!
Looking forward to getting my Minn Kota setup, plenty of snaggy areas there!
Cheers
Sy and Kristy

Nice one Sy! It sure is a beautiful waterway.
we did the same on Saturday for basically the same result, saw lots of very lethargic fish hovering around the snags but none to interested in anything we threw at them. Could have been due to the river rising a bit last week, dunno.

Sounds like a beaut day!
Finniss is a beautiful spot for a day whether or not your catching fish (although it helps!) Very picturesque there

Sounds like a good way to spend the day. That place is full of snags.
