Would like to hear your opinions on Shimano s waxwing lures and what colours work best up here?

I caught a 10kg yellowfin and a stack of spaniards on one this year down the east coast. I haven't used one up here but I reckon everything would eat them.

I've used them and caught a few small barra casting at mangroves and rocks, haven't really landed anything substantial though.

We used one last year out bluewater, it went off. Anything that saw it went suicidal over it. Tuna were jumping over each other to get to it, very funny to watch. I just find it hard to shell out the cash for them that's all. Especially when a mac swallows $20+ in one cast.

I went down the local tackle shop and parted with some of my hard earned and got some of these bad boys in different sizes and colours. Can't wait to test these babies out over the next couple of days. I Will post how they faired in the local waters around Darwin with a few photos hopefully

Be interesting to see how they go up against the more traditional lures, chromies, poppers, minnows, jigs and soft plastics.
