Dry Season Metery!

Over the last fortnight we have done two trips out to Shady Camp in On Strike chasing the last of the Barra before I'm forced to switch to Bluewater:). The first trip I had Dad up and we boated 12 legal Barra with the biggest going 80cm and he caught 7 of them himself. The second trip we took Bubba34s son Aidan out for a fish. After pulling his hooks on a 90+Cm model on the second troll (arguably his dad had the drag too tight) he came up trumps with a solid 104cm a couple of runs later. It took a boat effort to land it in tight country but we succeeded in the end. What followed was an hour of solid fish (average 75cm) with 14 legal fish being landed. Majority were sent back with a couple of smaller ones for a feed. We were all stoked with the metery cause over the last three months we have caught 12 Barra above 95cm with three of them going 98.5cm. Whilst we have hooked and dropped four over a metre, this one stayed stuck:)
