First Post: hello!

Thought the gang might like a pic of the 111 I landed with 17 minutes to go on Day 5 of the Classic a couple of weeks ago. Given the circumstances and as it was my first metery it was a very special fish. I think the pic captures my joy (and teammates joy) pretty well.

I live in Lake Macquarie just south of Newcastle so every barra is a bonus for me!

PS on the croc front, for those who are unaware there is a very large black model frequenting the mouth of Elizabeth. We saw him once during the comp and witnessed him thrash a smaller model (3.5 - 4m) up the creek a few days prior.

Nice fish! Bloke got bitten by a croc up there last year but kept it on the DL. Must have been taking a sickie!

Were you back at the Banyan, you could've been...! To be honest I was in shock, I was basically useless; couldn't fill in the card or get the tag in the plunger hands were shaking so much. Lure is now proudly housed in the 'pool room'.

It's a good thing Aussie Bass don't grow that big or I'd never make it to work!

Thx Mud, cant claim the barbless tick though - Classic changed to barbed in 2012.
