landbased mudcrabs

Post by baiter »

Does anyone know any good places in darwin to put crab pots in (landbased)?
Thinking of trying: rapidcreek, racecourse creek culvert area, casino creek. Any other ideas? or has anyone tried some of those places and can tell me not to waste my time?
Cheers :)

Rock walls around the harbour would be worth a shot, I've seen crabs in the rocks when snorkelling, also got crabs in pots off rock walls in Brisbane. Sadgroves would be a good start.

I'd suggest to stay and watch your pots, last time I did it at Lizzy river and Channel Island, I put 4 pots in in the morning, only had two left in the arvo
