Tomatoe sauce mixed with egg mayo was always my go to dip
haha mate I've only ever tried catching them in pots while out camping. and we've only ever got 1-2 in a pot. Use a couple for live bait to try entice a barra and let the rest go. The ones we catch aren't worth the effort of trying to eat!shaggs wrote:Well if u didn't shoot 'em all when they're tiny they would eventually have a chance to get bigger mate. I see it all the time. Cant see the point myself in shooting tiny ones..... then people want to take over their limit of 30 to get a decent feed !

Thats the seafood sauce mentioned above. Lay em on a bed of cos lettuce a side serve of rounds of spud fried in same oil mix for chips and a few micro herbs over the top, couple of cherry tomatoes cut on half and a slice of red onion, salt n pepper then go hard. 5 star stuff. All on the side of the river too with a bit of prior preparation and a few clip lock containers ....
