Potatoe is an easy clean option for bait.
upper adelaide is always worth a crack "kassis creek" just past goat island.

or just go raid Kia's off the pontoon.
works on a replacement basis.
take 1 or 2 to get you going early in the morning and just replace them on your way home/ lunch at goat island.

Good Bait is Velvet Soap. You can buy a packet from Woolies and cut them into halves and you have 12 good baits, Dog pellets, Chicken Carcass.

Might be good for bait, but soap is definitely not good for their environment. You should use something else.

Bleeting off? Oil is an "all natural product". You think that'd be fine tipped in a river?

Its poop that doesn't belong in a river, natural or not.

How about you check your facts first? Try soaking a lump of your velvet soap in a glass of water, then drink it. Maybe rinse your eyes with it. Let me know how you go. I'm interested. It's all natural after all....

Jabsy, thank you for your constructive advice, You might want to let the 100 odd other people I know that are using Velvet soap that it is not good for the environment. What about dog pellets, chicken pellets are they ok Mr Know it all.

Oh by the way, all bait is encapsulated within a stocking so it doesnt all escape to the environment. With regards to the Velvet soap, most of it remains inside the stocking bag. And yes, when I have finished for the day I take all my baits home. I dont leave them in the river. Not like a lot of guys that I know that drink cans of beer and rip them up and let them sink to the bottom of the river. Now thats bad for the environment. Would you not agree

Mate I certainly dont want to harm the environment, that is not my intention. I do take on board what you have said.

I think I will leave it at that.
