hey guys really curious about the old prawn catching, anyone know some good places to cast net prawns and good techniques to get them just for a small feed

Buffalo creek and howard river at low tide.
Throw net the deeper holes neer the edge of the bank.
Dont usualy see a large amount of them until after the wet.

Went to the Trailer boat club a couple of months ago and the prawns were everywhere about 2-3 feet out the front. Kids were scooping them up in their hats! That wasn,t long after the wet ,as John d said. Normally got a cast net in the ute, but were in the missus car :banghead: :bricks:

Buff creek is a good spot but most creeks after the rains usually produce prawns albeit small jelly's
