Hey guys just got a new tinny and was wondering when the best time to go and troll the mouth of shady is to get the salmon and Barra keen to try get the mrs into a big one. Only been once with a friend so I’m not a guru at when it fires or what tides and when to launch/retrieve. How long of a trip is it from the ramp

Neap tides are best. its about 35km to the mouth and you will have to launch and retreive on the high tide at the ramp this time of year

i did that trip once ,and its a decent hike down the river ,beautiful country though ,from memory i used a high tide that was as early as possible to launch which made it a coming in tide when back at near dark .
