Went for a crab with my oldest girl at Leader creek this morning. The leaders base people was nice enough to drive up and park the car for me with which was much appreciated launching with a kid at lowest tide. Unfortunately both batteries was dead from leaving it on accessories all night after kicking it over at home.
After taking 5 mins to decide to disassemble the MG 24 volt system or go home and back to sleep. Lucky for us this top bloke let borrow his jump pack. It was one of those little one but had plenty to kick over my 115hp. They were heading over to Melville so he said we could use for the day and give it to Brian from the base when we were finish. If your reading this big thanks mate.
My 11 year old picked the brightest big B52 (yellow white) and nailed this 78 cm on the first troll run. She caught plenty of fish before but this was Jade’s first salt water Barra so she was over the moon. Dad was very happy and proud.
It was very quite on the crabbing front with 5 keepers. Still an awesome day which I never forget.
