Keep forgetting to post, not living in Darwin anymore but i fly up every second weekend and take the kids on some random fishing camping misc adventure. Pics are from last 3-4 weekends .
May 5-7th - dundee inshore
drove down sunday morning set up camp and threw the boat in, kids get a bit seasick if its choppy so we made the call to head north up the beach.
Unlimited queenies and trevally near the islands north of the ramp, even jagged a tarpon. Manta rays turtles dolphins overall a pretty magical weekend with both kids landing there first ever trevally. was also funny watching the 9 year old drive the boat onto the trailer at the ramp better then most the adults. got some snapchats of the manta ray and each kid casting hooking and landing queenies which was cool but cant load them from
Weekend 28th/29th April - Middle arm
Boat was getting serviced so did some landbase at channel island for couple queenies and cod then got the boat back day before i flew out for a session off channel island ramp. teaching both kids how to drive the boat unassisted and how to sight cast young fella shows me up with a nice blue salmon for dinner.
21st 22nd April - Shady camp
The old man came up after easter to see the kids and i promised him a barra trip so we took the kids there. drive and road were great, launched at almost low tide to a few boats stuck, i pulled one guy out after a few others had no luck and paid the price with the impeller being stuffed from all the gravel when i almost got stuck (id still do it again not the best place to be stuck before daylight). Old man got his first thready, miss 6 with her first barra (be it undersized), young fella with his first blue salmon. kept a couple for a feed think the day ended with 6 barra 4 thready 4 blue salmon nothing over 80cm.

great fun with the kids , love it, and great fish is a bonus
If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!
Especially when you can see them!
