What is your favourite barra popper?

Post by shaynes_god »

I love catching Barra on the surface with small halco rooster poppers. I was just wondering what other poppers people use? Do you prefer the bloopers? or maybe something that makes a big splash. Be interseting to see what the most popular is.

Fizzers are great, bills bugs are probably the best Ive used, tango dancers or J walkers go pretty well to.

Gotta be the green Rapala skitter pop.
used to use this lure exclusively and had some awseome sessions with it including one where i landed 30+ fish with it including a 107cm.
Had a good hookup rate with it but had to upgarde the hooks occasionaly as they bent fairly easily.
give one a go you wont regret it!

Black blooper with two trebles. But for the life of me cant remember the name of the manufacturer. :bonk: :bonk: :banghead: :banghead: .it's a local bloke up here that makes it. Ya can buy the wooden lure at all the fishing shops Kmart etc tacked onto a piece of cardboard
Nighttime barra fishing is awesome with this especially at Corro.

Either a skitter pop, a skitter pop, or a skitter pop! :lolpoint: I used to love the gold one in the larger size in Shoal Bay in the build up, but they dont make them in gold any more.
