Can only hope more and more governments realise the worth of the rec fishing industry. Fish are pretty prolific breeders so couple of years of being left alone to do their thing will see them back in numbers very quickly. Just have a look at our own harbour. It's a sh!t load easier to catch a barra/salmon/skinny etc. in the harbour now than it was a decade or two ago, even with the population growth and associated fishing pressure. I know aquaculture has it's issues as well but it's a heap more sustainable than wholesale harvesting of the natural environment. If that worked we'd still be hunting cows and chooks in the bush.....................
