After a busy start to the year, we finally got a chance to hit the water last Saturday.

I had a mate up from Perth and it was great to get him on to his first ever Barra (82cm), unfortunately the jewie he hooked busted him off, but it was a great day all round. Weirdly though we had a school of flathead come through, I have only ever hook 2 in the last 20 years around Darwin and then we hooked 3 in about 5 minutes flicking vibes around.

They'll be talking about that trip for a while. Great fish, weather looks pretty good too
