Talk about the gear you can't afford and knots you can't tie.

Humminbird Megalive

Received this from H/bird's techo team contact yesterday:

Pay attention to the last couple of lines
Dear Ron Jenkins,

We will have someone reach out to you for further assistance and I was advised to inform you that our range resolution is not published.

Best Regards,
Sequenthia

I answered this lady and have had nobody reach out to me

But I have further information from somebody else at H/bird (see below).

"Why isn't the range resolution figure published? Garmin does.

AND why did you try to b/s me about weather etc?

Is your role in the technical team one of "tell enquirers any b/s at all. They're ALL stupid and will believe you" 'cos you sure ain't a techo and I'm not stupid.

Is that the culture that exists now within Johnson Outdoors Marine Electronics Inc (parent of H/Bird)? Is that why the share price is so low?

You guys appear to be more interested in playing "secret squirrel" with competitors than in looking out for customers interests. Competitors aren't going to assist make H/Bird successful but customers can if treated fairly and openly.

That's not happening at the moment.

It can't all be one way of course, but you guys have sure got the balance wrong.

The current treatment of your customer base is a symptom of an organisation that's lost its way. A simple lack of managerial leadership and decision-making ability in difficult times. You've only got yourselves to blame for the customer exodus.

I've passed on what you have responded with so far to the people I regularly deal with in Aus (including a copy of this).

It hasn't been taken kindly and I don't blame them.

I've now heard from Rhonda Green of H/Bird about a survey involving customer satisfaction. I've replied with a 0 score response along with a copy of this e-mail.

NB

I suppose that the next thing you'll tell me is that you've never heard of an Aussie from Toowoomba in my home state of Qld, now living in US, successful in the US BassPro circuit, sponsored by H/Bird and his forthcoming visit to Aus?

His name is Carl Jocumsen.

Now why would he be coming to Aus as H/bird has been copping flack over its failure to engage with its customer base about MegaLive?

Homesick perhaps?

Maybe Carl is the "reach out" person you spoke about?

Bit of quiet fishing backwater testing (in Aus) of megalive gear away from competitor prying eyes, perhaps.

Aussies are stupid. Your customer service team/zendesk obviously believes so. You can tell Aussies any line of rubbish which they'll believe (as you've been doing)".
regards
Regards
Ronje
