Took a mate out to meckitts yesterday to a spot haven't been in 6 years for a look. Ride over was good in morning bit bumpy on way back. Managed to pick up a 69 early in the morning. Got a couple of muddies during run out. We found the fish schooling up across the low and decided to stick with them for the push of the incoming which ended up being a good call. Mate hooked 3 good fish and managed to pop them off immediately. I managed to stay connected to a good fish that was either a very fat high 90s or a low metre size fish. Ended up losing this fish after a 10-15 minute fight due to changing rod angle for a split second when getting taken around boat. This one only managed to get it's noggin just out of the water a few times. Unfortunate as it was 10mins later managed to hook another good fish this time after a short 5-10minute fight it was boated, this one going just on 92cm. Even though the fight was fairly short it out a decent show on getting a good couple of jumps with half its body out each time.

Managed to have an audience from another boat in this little session which was funny. Finished day out off lee point looking for pelagics on the incoming to no avail, the bait was around but the fish weren't there. All in all a good trip, but didn't manage to lose a steel pot near first left hander. If anyone finds said pot the buoy will have my contact details on it and would be happy to see it come back.

Kind regards

A bit of at quiet day out off Dundee, but a 73cm Goldie and a nice trout made it worth while.

Couple of dry season Barra and Queenie's from yesterday and today. Friday was solo run to the bay managed a 73,89 and 97 for the day. Also a few muddies. Thanks to the guy in the silver formosa with the two young lads for taking the photo of the 97 just in case he is a forum member. Went out at arvo top of tide for search for pelagics around lee point to no avail.

Took a mate back to the bay today, Barra would of been on but had a couple of young fellas in a tinny near where fish were staging making too much noise and the fish relocated up stream. We only worked this out later in tide and missed the bite window unfortunately as we sat where they schooled on the low hoping for some more to push up with tide. Managed half a dozen muddies and poked out to the rock on arvo low in search for jewies. Instead found good schools of Queenie's about.

Cheers

P.S anyone know anything about the rig out towards south gutter?

Hitting 5inch plastics and suspending hardbodies.

After being away doing the Gibb it was great to get back on the water and get a feed. This was a couple of weeks ago so I’m a bit slow posting.

I got out on the water on Friday with the misses, it was a fairly slow day but we ended up with a couple of good Jewies (113 & 124cm).

A few more from the bay Friday night 64,73,93 and 97. Dropped two more in 90s and one in 80s. They were responding to 5inch plastics slow rolled and suspending hardbodies stalled on their noses needed subtle retrieved.
