I've got a tiny leak somewhere in my stacer crossfire last couple of time out after retreiving & opening the bunge theres been a bit of water , not enough to activate the bilge but still concerning.
today i decided to level the boat getting the jockey wheel in the right position and put the hose in , what i saw was a single drop of water constantly work its way along the keel then drop to the driveway creating a small wet area.
i couldnt see where its coming from when i did wind the jockey wheel up of course the bilge came on , i checked around the bunge housing NOT LEAKS.
Any tips or advice is appreciated the house we are renting is in Woolner only 2 minutes down the road to IN AND OUTBOARD MARINE could they help with finding the leak?

Re: leak
A mate of mine’s Stacer had an issue for years.
The boat always seemed to become sluggish after a few hours in wavy waters but not so much when it was calm. When back on the trailer it was always a heavy pull out and it held a lot of water. He replaced the scuppers, thinking that was the problem, not.
Eventually after moving to QLD he got chatting to a fella who knew a bit about this and they emptied the boat out and used a spray on dye and found the hull had a crack about 12 inches from the anchor well all the way down the keel measuring about 4 ft long.
Invisible to the naked eye it was flexing open enough every time to let more water in when pounding through a swell and waves.
Not uncommon apparently when towing over rough roads with a lot of weight when going on big trips.

You tried giving custom works a call? They might have the gear being a boat builder.Chopper361 wrote: Tue Jul 18, 2023 6:44 am Thanks Ninja anyone here recommend a boat dealer or aluminium welder in Darwin that may be able to assist as i'm new to Darwin?

Also another option going down the path of the dye is google to see if any place offers Non-Destructive Testing/Inspection (NDT/NDI), aviation usually has this kind of thing but sure mining would as well.
