looking at booking a houseboat at king ash bay and as we will be comming over from Kununurra am just chasing a bit of info..looks like the only dates we can get next year is mid august for a week or two. I know the barra fishing will likely be a bit slow but am more interested in fishing out the front around the islands...will have two 7m boats with plenty if fuel on board so covering lonfer distances is not an issue..
Pretty much the main question is..what are the winds usually like that time of the year...
Have fished some of the area before but in 4.5m tinnys in November where we got half days when it was glass then blowy in the afternoon but not that bad that it stopped us.
Thanks for any info
Mick

Re: king ash bay fishing
I’ve fished consistently April and November for years out there but never August.
August is notoriously a windy month of the year in the Territory but who knows? It wasn’t too bad this year near Darwin.
The planet may tilt a bit more by next year though.
