shady camp crabbing?

Post by hobbsy »

OK, I've searched this forum, the internet & the NT fishing mate app. I can't really find anything definitive. There is talk of amature fishing equipment, ancillery gear etc...

Can anyone confirm if crabbing is permitted at shady Camp?

I did find this "Fishing gear – Mary RiverSubject to this Part, the only items of fishing gear which a person may fish with or have possession of in the Mary River Fish Management Zone are a hand line or a rod and line and ancillary gear, except when the person:
(a) is legally fishing with an amateur's pot; or
(b) is fishing under a licence that entitles the person to do so in the Zone"

Insanity is a good place to hide from reality!

It is not how long the fish is but how long you have fished & how long you've wished.......

Pretty sure pots are legal in both the Mary and Corroboree (Cherabin). One call to NT Fisheries should clarify.

There is still the pro-crabbers camp in Tommycut so I can't see why not.
As Stroma says, check with NT Fisheries to be sure.
