Thermacell Gas refills nozzle

Post by garrynt »

Cannot find the correct nozzle to refill my little mozzie gas canisters.
Can someone enlighten me as to the brand & where to find.
Bunnies no longer stock the "other one" I used to get. Its just the nozzle adapter in one random can that's the key.

Hey mate, I was struggling to refill mine just now. Couldn’t work out why? Haven’t done it for ages.
Found a hack on YouTube.
Get a paper clip and put it in the nozzle of the refill canister. Then cut it off with about 3mm or so sticking out of the nozzle. Now refill as usual.
The paper clip pushes the valve on the thermocell canister open.

Venti is the brand with the little nozzle you are after.

Thanks Guys

Venti did the trick. (already had canister & nozzles, but didn't think it was right) Filled 8 bottles, all good.
Managed only a few ml with the hack. I'm sure my 3 frostbitten fingers & left eye will recover.
Might work better with plastic end.

Have now ordered a "backpacker thermacell" that uses the bigger cheaper common camping gas canisters.

Haha! Mustn’t have had your tongue pointing the right way!
I’m guessing you have to have the exact right length on the paper clip, to open the valve and allow the nozzle to seal in the canister at the same time.
Worked perfectly for me. Must have jagged it.
