Commercial Barra Harvest

Post by bigwoody »

The commercial Barramundi harvest begins today. The new operator who now holds 70% of the netting licenses will soon be making an impact on the available fish stocks.

The principal owner of the operation needs a return in the investment he has made. He is new to the fishing industry and will learn as he goes, although it seems he has done OK in other ventures.

He can rely on the NTG Fisheries for assistance, and the lack of Fishery Marine patrols and no monitoring of the Vessel positioning system will be of help.

You gotta wonder why a bloke like this buys into a p..s ant industry in the NT.
