Trip out to Finniss fresh
Seems to be the theme for the billabongs, lots of juvenile barra about.
Still pretty.
Picked up most fish trolling over the top of deep snags

Did a run to the bay yesterday with a good mate of mine. Nice easy launch met with flat waters. Tried for some pelagics no joy. So quick run to the rock. Marked some good fish but nothing wanting toke to our vibes. Played around with some small Queenie's for poop with surface lures for a few short strikes. By 10:30 made the call to get to the main destination. Dropped a few pots out then proceeded to flick. 3rd cast dropped a Barra in the 60s boat side. Ah well. Proceeded to flick the outgoing with a rat dropped and a fish around the 80s dropped due to low drag pressure. Went quiet across the low. Worked the same spots on incoming with good success. ended up with 7 Barra boated 2 legal one going 66 and the other 70. Dropped another around 70 on the jump and losing a few few more. All fish were hitting hard and green as. The 70 we landed hit the plastic boat side then proceeding to jump into the side of the hull.
Things slowed down as the tide continue to come up. Pulled the pits for 7 legal muddies so decided to head back in. Slow going as was a bit lump with the northeasterly.
Won't be long until it really fires I reckon the fish around 45-50 were hitting like 60s. All Barra putting up great fights.
Cheers

Another run to the bay today to test out new prop ( did not suit my motor and may be up for sale shortly ) Nice weather in morning..blew up in arvo and got a wet ass. Stepdaughter was not happy haha.
Got a couple of rats flicking the snags, boated a fat 70cm bazz, and lost a bigger model in the 90s boat side after a 10 min fight.
A fair few blue salmon around in numbers and massive amounts of poddy mullet.
Crabbing was a bit slow with only one good Jenny and a handful of blue swimmers.
Cheers

Re: Fotofish 2021 - all entries on this thread
Did a night run to the bay saturday night with two mates. Was rough as guts in arvo but pleasant all night. Got a nice blue salmon on a fizzer on sundown. And had good session around low on poppers hooking 4 on poppers but only landing one 63cm bazz.
Got a 62cm bazz flicking plastics also. Also managed a few crabs for the night. Upon retrieval witnessed a Barra in 90s free jump directly opposite buff ramp as car lights hit the water, assuming got spooked by the lights.
Cheers
