If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!

Especially when you can see them!

About 10 Spanish wide of leepoint this morning. 110cm the biggest. Not the best photo had hand surgery on Thursday and was limited to 1 hand.

Wow! First Mackerel. 129cm off Charles point. I was jigging a savage squid lure around on the bottom and it hit me like a freight train. Was not expecting it, it got down to the spool twice on barra gear. It was a shi* show trying to get it in the boat, no gaff it didn’t fit in the net and the newspaper blew out of the boat earlier on our way out. I managed to use my partners phone to bring up the NT news website and googled “time and date in darwin” as extra proof. Firts photo with phone in bottom left shows size and I’ve brought the phone close to see the screen in others as it won’t show too well from a distance. I’m hoping this should provide ample proof in the absence of a news paper it was a fish of a life time for me. I’ve got about 30 photos If any of the above are not suitable

Finally managed to get onto the water. Been a pretty ordinary month for me getting fishing.

Anyway, snagged 10 fish (king and barra) with this king being the one to enter.

71cm to fork on a smaller h/body lure in town reach.
