Post your Round 5 (July) entries on this thread. Mackerel and barra are eligible, and mackies have a -10cm handicap.

This is the last month to enter this annual brag mat competition with a chance to win, as your best six monthly rounds are used for scoring.

If you want to give it a shot, the rules are here ... fff-seadogs-2019-barramundi-brag-mat-co ... 42020.html

Thought I would get in early. Fished in water that was 23.8 but still found some active fish. Struggled to hook any large fish but still had enough fun to make me think about doing it again. not big at just 61 but just perfect to invite to dinner with the family.

how many is enough lures, rods and reels. Is there a magic number, considering you usually only catch 1 fish on a single lure on the one rod and reel your casting with.

I managed to get out off of Dundee yesterday, rough in the morning but then glassed out around lunch (wasn't expecting that as the wind forecast wasn't that great). We managed to land 3 Mackies and lost another to the tax man, biggest going 98cm. Not much surface action out there, a few schools of tinny Tuna busting up. We tried flicking & jigging with no luck so reverted to trolling a couple a deep diving Halco's (Pink & Green) around some bait schools which did the trick.

Yep, it seems if the barra aren't playing then a lot of people lose interest. Hope it changes in the Build-up, and with Million Dollar Fish.

Well it’s been a tough couple of months with the harbour Barra. Whilst I always managed a few fish each outing I couldn’t get anything over 55. It’s been one of the toughest Barra dry seasons I’ve encountered and this year I made the decision not to enter anything undersize hence a blank sheet for last months Seadogs round. So a couple of days ago I made my way across to West Arm to my usual spot. The first thing I noticed on arrival was the water temp had gone up a couple of degrees ....... and boy did that make a difference. I won’t bore you with the detail but I landed six Barra ranging in size from 56 to 68, another half dozen or so rats, and probably dropped another five or six. What a session. Totally unexpected. And because of all the excitement stoopid me forgot to include the paper in my photo of the 68. Luckily though I also took a shot of the 66 with the paper!
