Not surprising. I find the best Darwin Harbour fishing to be had in July / August just as the water starts to heat up. Need to fish the shallowest gutters and drains that you can find :D

 not happy with the deckys. Took them out fishing and landed plenty of fish, told the boys to take some pics whilst I positioned the boat and on the Matt with the paper. They bl..dy slit the fish and just threw them in kill bin.
Doubt it counts now but here it is anyways

It’s been a very lean couple of months for me in the harbour with few barra caught and none over the 55 mark. I could see the buggers on the sounder but could not entice them to take a lure. This resulted in no fish being entered in Seadogs round 4 as I decided that this year I would not enter any fish undersize regardless of how desperate I was. Anyway this week my luck changed and it was totally unexpected. I think the increase water temperature was the difference, it had risen 2 degrees since my previous outing. I won’t bore you with all the detail but during the period the fish were on the chew I boated six fish over the 55 mark the best going 68. Also landed another four or five rats and lost a couple more. Unfortunately due to my excitement I forgot to place the NT News next to my 68 for the photo so I will have to settle with the 66. I hope this is a sign of things to come.

The wind seemed to have other plans to me to get out and jag a mack, 85cm barra from SWA caught on the classic bananafish, released well.

Fished twice for the month but had motor problems that put me out of the game. Damn impeller.

Boat goes in to Quality Marine to get repaired.

Life got in the way this month. Plus a trip of bad choices where I thought fish would be. Bring on them buildup slappers
