Don't know how accurate the advance forecasting is, but might help plan ahead ... https://meteologix.com/au/model-charts/ ... 0600z.html
It is based on European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts data for the world so it should be reasonably reliable.

Or they could pump the remaining Murray River water up and dump it on the Mary flood plain to help with the runoff

Re: Advance rain forecasts
Middle point is part of the catchment for the Adelaide River floodplains and it is showing a horrid record of rainfall so far this wet.
Month...…..Total Rainfall...……...Average rainfall for the month
Sept...……..0.2mm.........………...15mm
Oct......…..47mm...............…..45mm
Nov......…..98mm............……...121mm
Dec......…..62mm......……………...226mm
Jan so far..104mm......……………..285mm
Totals...…..311mm.........…...…..692mm to the end of January
We have got some catching up to do if we are to even make average figures.
On a positive note, my Crimson Finches are madly starting to build a nest for the first time this wet season. Normally an indication that good rain is about 10 to 12 days away.

Re: Advance rain forecasts
Update on the Crimson Finches:
They have stopped building their nest.
That tells me no significant rain for at least the next 15 - 20 days. Nature is a much better indicator of future weather events than science.
