I am thinking about trip to Shady Camp next Sunday (3rd). A novice to Shady I am wondering what time I should launch and return. My best guess based on a 3m tide depth is a pre-5.30 am launch and return between anywhere between say noon and 5.00pm.
Am I on the right track here?

You will need to launch by 3am at the absolute latest. But if you say that you're a Shady novice I'd get in no later than 0230 so you have plenty of time to negotiate the 1st bend in the dark. You will need to be out by 1430
