Dundee 25 May - trout and goldies, father son bonding

Post by miickk »

upgraded/downsized the boat and 2 weeks ago took some work mates to test her out and cleaned up around Lorna/Loee. When my 10 year old got wind of it he was not impressed.

So Saturday I gave him an ultimatum, either play playstation or come fishing. 530am left Darwin, arrived Dundee at 0730 and at the spot by 0800.

by 10am we had 2 trout 5 trickies 3 golden snapper and were heading home when we saw a few other boats and tuna everywhere. 3 hours of chasing them, 1 broken rode, 1 spooled reel and 2 tuna dropped at the boat we ended at the ramp at 3pm.

my son pulled the whole : I'm feeling sick dad can you re-rig and re-bait so i don't get sick.

that's my excuse for why he out fished me anyway. he ended with the biggest trout and the most trickies.

Photo of the Dundee cleaning bench is from 2 weeks ago with mates, didn't take a photo of all the fish on Saturday.

Some nice ones there, well done. Love taking the kids fishing!!
If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!

Especially when you can see them!

We cleaned up as well that day, I had two of my kids on the boat and they pulled in trickies, redfish, emperor and trout all day. Then they got stuck into goldies the next morning.
